The CSPA’s first all-member ballot opens on 4 September 2026 and closes at 12 noon on 25 September 2026.
Every member has a vote and you can choose to vote online or by post. Please use one method only for each member.
Who are you voting for?
There are seven candidates standing for five nationally elected Executive Council (EC) positions.
You can vote for up to five candidates from the seven. Two of the five positions are reserved for women, but all members can vote for any of the seven candidates.
Vote online
Everyone can vote online. The instructions and web address are included on your ballot paper.
If we hold your email address, you’ll receive an email with a link to the online voting system and full instructions.
If you don’t receive The Pensioner but we hold your email address, you can still vote online and you will be sent the information you need.
To vote online, follow the link in your email or use the web address shown on your ballot paper, then enter your unique voting code. You can then select up to five candidates and confirm your vote.
Each member has their own unique voting code. If you are a joint member, you will each vote separately using your own code.
Vote by post
Every member will receive a ballot paper in the Autumn edition of The Pensioner.
If you are a joint member, both ballot papers will be included on the same sheet, separated by a perforated line. You can separate them and complete each ballot separately.
To vote by post:
- Mark a clear cross (X) or tick (✓) next to each candidate you wish to vote for. You can choose up to five.
- Separate the ballot papers along the perforated line, if applicable.
- Put your completed ballot paper in an unmarked envelope and write FREEPOST MI VOICE on the envelope. No stamp is needed.
- Post your ballot so that it reaches the voting service by 12 noon on 25 September.
Two ballot papers may be returned in the same envelope.
Use a black or blue pen and make your choices clearly. Do not write your name, sign the ballot paper or add any other identifying marks, as this could make your vote invalid.
When will I receive my ballot?
Copies of the Autumn edition of The Pensioner will start arriving from 4 September. As they’re delivered by Royal Mail, some members will receive their magazine before others. If your copy hasn’t arrived on 4 September, please allow up to a week for delivery before contacting Mi-Voice, as your ballot paper may still be on its way.
