The CSPA Inner London Group AGM will be held in person on Friday 15th March 2024 commencing at 11am at PCS Headquarters, 160 Falcon Road, London SW11 2LN (the nearest railway station is Clapham Junction) Regular meetings are held on the third Friday of each month at the above address commencing at 11am.

CHAIR’S REPORT
It has been another year of struggle for the rights of pensioners. You will have seen the major victory on the proposed closure of railway ticket offices, but we need to be aware that any proposed fares revision or simplification may lead to the elimination of some discounts.
We also need to be aware of the spread of digital exclusion which has removed access to many services to those who are not computerised, mostly pensioners. Please let CSPA know if you are finding problems in this area.

SECRETARY’S REPORT
Meetings have been held monthly at PCS Headquarters, 160 Falcon Road, Clapham
Junction except during August when an outing to Brighton was arranged. A joint Christmas lunch with PCS (ARMS) was held at the Civil Service Club at the end of November. This was very successful event with 20 people attending including David Luxton CSPA Deputy General Secretary. Our Christmas social was held in December with the customary raffle and auction.
Numbers attending meeting over the past year has averaged only 10- people, well below the pre-pandemic levels and many former regular attendees have not returned, some due to ill health but also to the sad loss of two stalwarts, Anne Bryant and Rob Burns. Any members from closed Groups would be most welcome to join us.
The Group congratulated Rosemary White on her election to the NEC. Several motions were submitted for discussion at the AGM including a Valediction for Lisa Ray, Group Struc-ture, Social Care, NHS Waiting Lists and retention of Standard Definition television.
We remain conscious of the need to campaign on all issues affecting pensioners and have continued our affiliation to the National Pensioners Convention (NPC).
