Elections will be taking place across England and Wales on the 2nd May for:

- Greater London Authority elections
Make sure you’re registered
If you’ve moved house or aren’t currently on the electrol register then don’t forget you need to register by 11:59pm on Tuesday April 16th 2024. If you are unsure then register as you won’t be penalised for registering twice (you will still only get one vote).
Register for a posal or proxy vote
If you are unable to make to a poling station you can decide to register by post or by proxy (having someone vote on your behalf)
When voting by post, read all the instructions fully and make sure you sign and date in the right places. If you have a postal vote but don’t post it in time, you can drop it off at your polling station on the day.

Photo ID
If is now required to bring photo ID in order to vote. Click here to see the full list of accepted ID. If you don’t have a photo ID you can apply for a Voter Authority Certificate.
