CSPA, along with other Carer Poverty Coalition members and affiliated organisations, will be meeting on the 10th February to prepare a joint submission to the independent review on Carer’s Allowance overpayments.
About the review
The Terms of Reference for the independent review on Carer’s Allowance overpayments is available here. It is currently in the evidence gathering stage until late March and is due to report to the Government in the early Summer 2025.
Engagement sessions for unpaid carers affected by overpayments
There will be additional sessions for carers who would like to give evidence themselves directly.
These sessions, organised by the review team, will take place on Tuesday 25 February 2025 at 5-7pm and Monday 24 March at 11am-1pm.
Carers are advised to contact us in the first instance and we will pass on details to DWP, which may result in an invitation to attend either of the sessions.
