Last week, we saw a minor reshuffle in which former Chief Secretary to the Treasury, Darren Jones, was promoted to Chief Secretary to the Prime Minister in No 10.
A full reshuffle however was triggered by Deputy Prime Minister and Housing, Communities and Local Government Secretary, Angela Rayner’s, resignation following controversy over an underpayment of stamp duty on her home in East Sussex.
The Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rachel Reeves, will remain in her role.
As an overview:
- Angela Rayner has resigned as Deputy Prime Minister and the Housing Secretary, as well as Deputy Leader of the Labour Party
