Exclusive free Will offer to CSPA members from the Charity for Civil Servants

Charity for Civil Servants supports current, former and retired civil servants through tough times in their lives. From mental health struggles and financial assistance to relationship issues, getting through grief, and coping with disability, we’re here to help people stay strong, whatever life brings. For generations, civil servants have dedicated their working lives to serving others. Charity for Civil Servants exists to make sure that same care is there for them and their families throughout life.

We couldn’t do this without the generosity of our supporters and an amazing way you can help is through a gift in your Will. We are delighted to offer CSPA members exclusive access to our free Will writing service, through our partner, Farewill.

What’s the offer?

  • We are pleased to offer up to 50 Wills available exclusively for CSPA members
  • You can access this from now up to 1st June 2026
  • You don’t have to include a gift to us to use the service, but we’d be grateful if you did

What is Farewill?

Farewill is an award-winning Will-writing service. Through our partnership with Farewill, you can write your Will for free online (in England and Wales only) or over the phone (England, Wales and Scotland). Each Will is checked by Farewill’s in-house specialists, giving you peace of mind. Online Wills can be written in as little as 20 minutes. Your Will is paid for by us, and there is no obligation to include a gift to the Charity for Civil Servants in your Will when using the service. However, we hope that after providing for loved ones you may feel you can also help current and former civil servants who face tough times.

Gill’s Story

You can be like Gill, who left us a gift. Gill joined the Civil Service in 1975, where she met her husband Dave and made life-long friends with Elaine and Steve. She became godmother to their daughter, Hannah who is also a civil servant. After a lifetime of public service and making a difference to others, Gill retired but sadly, a year later, she died. Gill’s god daughter, Hannah, said:

“Before she died, she explained how she wanted to leave a gift to the Charity for Civil Servants… She liked the idea of helping her colleagues through tough times, the people she had grown to call friends…being a civil servant myself, I understand how important it is to look after each other. Like Gill and my parents, I chose to be a civil servant because I wanted to make a difference. Gill has chosen to continue to do this even in death and I’m proud to help her.”
