I hope this newsletter finds you well and in good spirits. Hopefully you can have a much more ‘normal’ lifestyle now, able to enjoy outings, days out, family get-togethers and holidays.
This is the most difficult newsletter I have ever had to write.
Our chairman, John Jarvis, sadly passed away in hospital on 16th July. John was a unique individual and will be sorely missed. He helped to support hundreds of our members locally and nationally over the years through his work on personal pension cases and with useful guidance to members. The RNLI Lifeboat fund was very close to John’s heart, and you may wish to donate in his memory. For more information visit www.thelifeboatfund.org.uk.
Our meetings We continue to meet the first Wednesday of each month at BRWCA, Wych Lane, Bridgemary PO13 0JN. Unfortunately, Covid has impacted on attendance, and this has dropped drastically. Expenditure is now exceeding income, and we cannot carry on like this indefinitely. Unless we can double attendance by October, we have no choice other than to close the Group at the end of 2022. This decision has not been taken lightly. Therefore, our last coffee morning will be 2nd November 2022. There will not be a meeting in December as we have booked Christmas lunch at Sinah Warren on Hayling Island.
