WE ARE ALL CIVIL SERVICE PENSIONERS
WE ALL LIVE ON THE ISLE OF WIGHT
If we ever want to meet together with former colleagues (and occasionally people whose spouses were civil servants) only our quarterly occasions at the Riverside Centre in Newport give us the chance
And it is not just for a chat ! Where else in England could we get a chance to challenge what is going on in the health Service locally and get some hon-est answers ? !
The Isle of Wight Civil Service Pensioners’ Alliance is our official representa-tive body and on Tuesday 13 March at 11 am at the Riverside Centre, The Quay, Newport PO30 2QR. Please arrive at the Reception desk and ask what room we have our meeting in. This has not been confirmed to date. We will meet to do two things:
We need to have our Annual General Meeting to decide who will run the Alli-ance for the coming year and keep things going. But the bulk of the meeting will be devoted to a discussion with representatives of Isle of Wight Health-watch which covers all aspects of the Health Service from specialist provision to what happens in your local GP surgeries. Bring along your questions and issues
If you have anything you want to raise in advance please contact our Secretary : Ted Berrow, 13 Wroxall Close, Northwood, PO31 8AQ (Tel: 01983 242029)
Many Thanks
Ted Berrow
